Power BI Data Analyst
---NO C2C----NO C2C----NO C2C---NO C2C----Terms of Employment:• W2 Contract, 6 Months (Possible extension)• This is hybrid schedule with Tues, Wed and Thurs onsite at Baltimore, MD; Monday and Friday would be remoteOverview:Our client is looking for a Senior Business Analyst/Power BI Developer will support a federal area wide program by turning complex project and financial data into clear, executive ready insights that improve portfolio visibility and decision making. The contractor would support a team with 5 multiple stake holders and sub contractors. The Senior Business Analyst/ Power BI Developer would support the Utility’s area wide program (UESC) in support of energy saving measures (construction) for a Federal Customer. This role will provide dedicated analytical and reporting support for the Areawide Program, with a primary focus on developing and maintaining Power BI dashboards and executive‑level reports. The position will translate program, financial, and operational data into clear, actionable insights to support decision‑making, governance, and external stakeholder engagement. The analyst will standardize and automate recurring reporting, ensure data accuracy across multiple sources, and support ad hoc analysis for leadership and customer‑facing needs. This role is critical to improving visibility, efficiency, and scalability of the Areawide Program.Required Skills & Experience:• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (Data analytics and/or business analysis experience and Power BI Certification would be a strong preference but not required)• Hands on Power BI experience.• Proven experience developing dashboards and reports used by leadership or decision makers.• Strong SQL and MS Excel skills.• Ability to queries, validates, transform, and reconcile data across multiple sources.• Experience as a Business Analyst, not just a report builder.• Must be comfortable gathering requirements, documenting logic, and iterating with stakeholders in a fast moving environment.• Power BI – Dashboard and report development.• SQL – Data extraction and validation.• Excel – Data analysis, reconciliation, and ad‑hoc reporting.• Data Analysis & Requirements Translation- Ability to gather inputs from program leadership and stakeholders, translate them into clear requirements, and turn messy data into usable insights.• Dashboard & Reporting Development (Power BI)- Skill in building clear, executive‑ready dashboards that track portfolio health (schedule, risk, workload, metrics) and support decision‑making.• Business Acumen & Communication- Capability to explain data trends and insights in plain language to leaders and partners, not just produce visuals.Preferred Skills & Experience:• Familiarity with Utility data / Oracle’s Customer Care and Billing Platform (CC&B)• Familiarity with CRM platforms, ideally Saratoga CRM.
