Role SummaryThis role supports network construction delivery for Small Cell/Node projects, managing both fiber and wireless construction activities. The Construction Manager will oversee vendors, schedules, budgets, and field execution to ensure projects are completed on time, safely, and within budget.The hiring manager is ideally looking for Small Cell experience, but a strong Wireless Construction Manager is also acceptable given market constraints. Due to upcoming changes related to Arium, the team is looking to fill this role quicklyKey ResponsibilitiesProject & Construction ManagementManage multiple small cell/node projects simultaneouslyCoordinate construction schedules with vendors, inspectors, and internal teamsCreate and manage work packages for vendorsResolve construction issues in the field proactivelyEnsure projects are delivered on schedule and within budgetMaintain clear and timely communication with stakeholdersTechnical OversightReview and interpret:Fiber construction drawings and designsSmall cell/node construction drawings and designsOversee:OSP fiber construction (bore, trench, aerial placement, leased duct)Node construction, foundations, pole installationPower installation, RF component installation, troubleshootingUnderstand and manage:Process for bringing metered power to small cell sites811 utility locate process and subsurface construction safetyOTDR, PIM, and SWEEP testing techniquesFinancial & AdministrativePrepare and submit purchase ordersProcess and track contractor invoicesSupport project financials, forecasting, and milestone trackingTrack project deliverables and deadlinesAssist with reporting, invoicing, and closeout packagesUpdate company systems and attend cross-functional meetingsReporting & KPIsTrack, analyze, and report project progressIdentify risks and communicate issues before they reach critical statusSupport KPIs including:On-Time InstallFiber Complete for Small CellLCD InstalledEnterprise RevenueVendor & Vehicle SafetyQualifications & RequirementsEducation & CertificationsHigh School Diploma (required)Valid Driver's License (required)OSHA 10 (preferred)ExperienceMinimum 3+ years of telecom / wireless construction experienceExperience with Small Cell, Node construction, and designGeneral knowledge of OSP fiber construction (aerial & underground)Familiarity with:NESC, NEC, and OSHA standardsConstruction management processesBudget development and executionSkillsStrong project and construction management skillsAbility to read and interpret construction drawingsStrong problem-solving and communication skillsProficiency with MS Office, Excel, and SmartSheetsAbility to manage vendors and crews effectivelyCustomer-focused mindset with strong interpersonal skillsWorking ConditionsField Work: 40% - exposure to construction sites, heavy equipment, and environmental conditionsOffice Work: 60% - standard office environmentExperienceMinimum 3+ years of telecom / wireless construction experienceExperience with Small Cell, Node construction, and designGeneral knowledge of OSP fiber construction (aerial & underground)Familiarity with:NESC, NEC, and OSHA standardsConstruction management processesBudget development and execution
