Junior Consultant

TriMerge Consulting Group, P.A. is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Consultant to support high-volume technical and data-driven work within our HMA Technical Unit. This role is ideal for early-career professionals looking to build hands-on experience in federal emergency management, grants administration, GIS, and technical documentation.You’ll join a collaborative team supporting mission-critical work that helps communities recover and strengthen resilience through FEMA-related programs.What You’ll DoIn this role, you will:Conduct initial reviews of subapplications for FEMA eligibility, accuracy, and completenessDraft, track, and manage Requests for Information (RFIs) to subapplicantsSupport Benefit-Cost Analysis (BCA) through data collection, validation, and documentationAssist with Environmental and Historic Preservation (EHP) and engineering documentation under senior guidanceMaintain project tracking systems, dashboards, schedules, and status reportsSupport GIS mapping, spatial data validation, and geospatial documentationContribute to multi-disciplinary team assignments across ongoing engagementsAssist in delivering training sessions, workshops, or stakeholder support activitiesHelp ensure deliverables are completed on time, within scope, and aligned with quality standardsWhat You BringExperience: Minimum 3 years in GIS, environmental science, public administration, data analysis, or a related fieldEducation: Bachelor’s degree in Geography, Environmental Science, Public Administration, or a related disciplineTechnical Skills: Proficiency in ArcGIS, Microsoft Office Suite, and data management toolsPreferred Experience: Exposure to federal grants, emergency management programs, or compliance-driven environmentsWork Style: Highly detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working in fast-paced, high-volume production settingsStrong analytical, communication, and documentation skills
