IT Systems Delivery Quality Control Senior Manager
This position leads solution development and quality control for technology projects, focusing on consistent and efficient project delivery, risk mitigation, and stakeholder collaboration. The manager oversees all aspects of quality control management, IT project solutioning, communicates progress, monitors milestones, and identifies obstacles while ensuring business architecture is aligned with industry best practices.Key duties include working with PMO, IT Program Managers, architects/engineers, developers, vendors, and business teams to deliver technical solutions, plan and execute quality control test plans and procedures, support operations, and maintain effective communication. Quality control duties will also include developing comprehensive test plans, automating testing, and conducting inspections for audits.Additional responsibilities may include budgeting, managing vendor contracts, analyzing capacity & demand, and supervising analysts in alignment with Needham Bank's objectives.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesLeadership:Manage, mentor, and develop IT Systems Quality Control Team. Manage relationships and expectations across IT, PMO, Business Lines, and Vendors for each assigned project including developers, analysts, engineers, and third-party vendors.Outlining requirements and workflowsIdentifying and addressing gapsMitigating controversy and conflict resolutionSupervise QC analysts, conduct performance reviews, and set quality KPIs.Building an inclusive cultureEnhancing moraleFostering team training and growthProject Management:Oversee the solutioning, risk mitigation, and quality control of assigned projectsAligning project functional and technical requirementsEnsuring projects are on time, within budget, and meet scope requirements from the technology perspective.Determining when other areas of IT may be needed for development or maintenance purposes.Support the adoption and alignment of waterfall & agile methodologies as needed and foster a culture of continuous improvement.Develop and implement QC strategies, sampling plans, automated test plans, and testing protocols to ensure products and services meet compliance standards.Strategic Planning:Help implement IT strategies and roadmaps that support business goals and digital transformation initiatives.“Art of the Possible” approach with innovation and future state considered in solutions.Providing strategic voice to FVP, IT Systems Delivery and CIO on validity and feasibility of active and/or exploratory projects.Providing strategic voice to FVP, IT Systems Delivery and CIO on project budgets.Vendor and Stakeholder Management:Manage relationships with vendors and service providers, and collaborate with internal stakeholders, including clients and business line leaders, to drive successful outcomes.Ensure effective vendor coverage and defined vendor responsibilities across entire project team.Business Architecture:Provide technical guidance on project development, infrastructure, and architecture to ensure adherence to industry best practices, roadmaps, procedural standards and business alignment.Identify and monitor routine IT Systems Delivery processes.Ensure milestone and stage gate audit trails and documentation creation.Conduct lessons learned to enhance and streamline procedures.Build quality controls into existing processes and procedures.Risk Management:Support the Bank’s Enterprise Risk Framework and cybersecurity posture by implementing robust digital security measures aligned with the Bank’s IT Cybersecurity Team and regulatory frameworksIdentify potential risks to service delivery and develop mitigation strategies to prevent service failures.Perform additional duties as requested, needed or assigned.Job RequirementsSkill in understanding various aspects of information security and related technology conceptsGeneral knowledge of the Bank's software applications, technological infrastructure, networking and network design, and data processing systemsWillingness to continue educationStrong organizational skillsAbility to manage multiple concurrent tasksExcellent oral and written communication skillsProficient at documenting processes and roadmaps related to technology projectsMust be able to communicate with users with all levels of computer experienceAbility to adhere to Needham Bank’s Core Values ( Focus on Customer Relationship, Embrace Change, Work as a Team, Be an Asset to Your Community, Always Learn, and Do the Right Thing )Education & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Finance, or equivalent work experience8-10 years banking and/or technology experience3-5 years Quality Control, Quality Assurance or Project Testing experience2-3 years managing technology professionals1-3 years Technology Project or Program Management experience or related certificationsKnowledge of any of the following software is a plus: Candescant, JIRA, DOMO, COCC, Corduro, nCino, Salesforce, Q2, LoanVantageIT Security certifications encouraged (CISSP, CISM, CEH, CCSP) – Change to QC CertificationsWORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDSMust be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 7-9 hours per day, when necessaryMust be able to work extended hours if required or by managementMust be capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance Ability to interact with the staff, co-workers, in a service-oriented mannerHigh level of organizational proficiency and ability to multitask successfullyPAY RANGE: $86,534.22 - $121,147.91The pay range provided is based on what we believe is a reasonable estimate for the pay range for this job at the time of posting.
