This is a highly visible leadership position responsible for ensuring financial integrity, operational excellence, and strategic business support across the organizatio n. The Controller will oversee all accounting functions while serving as a cross-functional finance partner to executive leadership, operations, sales, purchasing, inventory, and design teams. The ideal candidate combines exceptional technical accounting expertise with strong financial planning and business acumen and enjoys collaborating across departments to improve profitability and operational performan ce. A CPA designation is strongly prefer red. Key Responsibil rtingLead all day-to-day accounting operations including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, Fixed Assets, and Cash Manage ment.Direct the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial repor ting.Prepare GAAP-compliant financial statements and executive management rep orts.Review journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and balance sheet sched ules.Maintain and improve accounting policies, procedures, and internal cont rols.Manage external audits, tax preparation, and regulatory compli ance.Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial reporting requirem alysisPartner with executive leadership to develop annual budgets and rolling fore casts.Prepare financial models supporting strategic growth initia tives.Monitor company performance against budget and identify opportunities for improved profitab ility.Analyze revenue trends, product margins, operating expenses, and cash flow.Develop executive dashboards and KPI repo rting.Provide recommendations that improve financial and operational perfor mance. Qua lificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Admi preferred.8+ years of progressive accounting experience.3+ years of leadership or Controller-level experience.Experience within luxury goods, consumer products, manufacturing, wholesale distribution, furniture, interior design, architecture, lifestyle brands, or related industries is highly preferred.Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.Experience managing audits and tax compliance.Advanced financial analysis and business partner ing skills.Proven ability to lead cross-functional i nitiatives.Excellent communication and executive presentat ion skills.
