This teaching opportunity involves providing specialized instruction as a Special Education Teacher focused on Emotional Disabilities within elementary school settings. The position is a contract role based in Summerville, South Carolina, supporting students in kindergarten through fifth grade in both self-contained and resource classroom environments.Key Responsibilities:Deliver tailored instruction to students with emotional disabilities (K-5), adapting curriculum to meet individual needs.Collaborate with general education staff, support personnel, and families to create supportive learning environments.Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation in compliance with educational standards.Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and implement accommodations effectively.Qualifications and Experience:Valid South Carolina Special Education License with endorsement in Emotional Disabilities.Experience teaching students with emotional or behavioral challenges, preferably in an elementary school setting.Strong understanding of special education laws, instructional strategies, and behavioral interventions.Effective communication and teamwork skills.Location:Positions available at College Park Elementary (Self-Contained Emotional Disabilities) and Cane Bay Elementary (Resource) schools in Summerville, SC.Schedule:Contract position with an expectation of 35 hours per week.Start date is ASAP with contract ending May 29th, 2026.
