TITLE I TUTOR

Instructional Support For At-Risk Students Purpose: To supplement reading and/or math instruction to academically at-risk students in grades K-8Qualifications: Ability to relate to children with special needs; ability to provide instructional activities in collaboration with teacherSome college training preferable. Minimum education requirements are:48 semester hours which include core courses with an overall 2.5 or higher GPA from an accredited institution; ORAssociate Degree or higher with an overall 2.5 or higher GPA from an accredited institution; ORWorkKeys testing in Math - (min score 4); Reading - (min score 4); and Writing - (min score 3).Key Duties and Responsibilities:Provide supplemental instruction to academically at-risk students in grades K-8 to provide reinforcement of readingand/or math skills.Collaborate with classroom teacher to prepare lessons, materials, and activities that supplements classroom reading and/or math instruction for academically at-risk students.Adhere to the federal guidelines regarding non-instructional assignments/duties.Attend Title I staff meetings and professional development.
