Client of TTI (TAJ Technologies, Inc.)JOB TITLE: Senior C++ ProgrammerLOCATION: Silver Spring, MDDURATION OF PROJECT: 12-36 months or longer with possible extensionsJOB SUMMARY:Must hold of a degree and require a minimum of 10+ years of applied programming experience, and proficiency in C++ specifically.Examples of completed projects using C++ can be used to demonstrate proficiency.Responsibilities:Complete the GUI by expanding parameter and environmental data editing, including flow and temperature, and develop the Windows installer package following NOAA’s documented process.Complete the adult passage module for upstream migration, dam passage, reservoir survival and travel time, tailrace delay, fallback, and harvest losses, using ecological models calibrated with radiotelemetry and PIT-tag data in collaboration with project scientists.Modify COMPASS as needed to support West Coast Region management analyses, including real-time decision support for water-resource operations and regulatory actions.Maintain and optimize COMPASS through routine maintenance and minor modifications, ensuring performance, functionality, and acceptance-test parity as new code is added.Continue to support products developed in year 1, including the GUI and adult passage module.Continue to implement modifications requested by the West Coast Regional office.Expand COMPASS to model tributary travel time and survival, including early migration behaviors, and integrate ecological components developed by project scientists. Calibrate parameters using active-tag and PIT-tag data.Expand COMPASS features based on NOAA scientists’ evolving needs, including fall Chinook life-history modeling and Columbia River estuary movement and survival with tidal effects.Continue to improve model efficiency and ease of use if it is deemed necessary and if time permits
