Accountant
The Accountant is responsible for maintaining the accounting records, banking, cash flow and other duties as assigned by the Controller.Essential Duties of the PositionDailyDownload postage from USPS and enter in QB’sOnline banking book transfers and ACH transfers.Record bank and lockbox deposits in QuickBooks received from AR departmentPosting/investigation of all deposit corrections received from the bank.Post bi-weekly payroll JE’s for four companiesDownload and reconcile company credit card statementsPost deposits in QuickBooks.Post credit card & EFT deposits in QuickBooks.Post NSF/Corrections in QuickBooks.Assist with office supply tracking and ordering and purchasing of break room and janitorial supplies.Manage company credit cards records and reconcile in QuickBooksDepartmental allocations and intercompany transactionsRecord court checks for Legal departments and download details from SimplifileBuilding maintenance/issues scheduling and coordinating. (Primary)Perform other duties as assignedMonthlyMonth end preparations: summary statement spreadsheets.Monthly client statements, invoices, disbursements, reports, electronic pay files, including but not limited to:generating payment report, balancing to statementscreating custom Excel statements per client requestscutting checks, submitting ACH’sgenerating / balancing electronic remit files to statements and releasing to clientsinvoicing from QuickBooksgenerating summary pagesassembling statements, invoices, checks, summary pagesmailing to clientsemailing clients copies per their requests or other requested information pertaining to statementshandling any client questions by phone or email related statements received.Monthly bank account reconciliations.Monthly trust account reconciliations and transfers.Monthly intercompany account transfers & reconciliationsProcess lockbox refundsDownload and enter Forte statement fees into QuickBooksPA commissions prepMonth end collection reportsAs NeededOrdering of office suppliesAnswer questions as needed for A/R group, assist as neededAnswer emails/requests from other departments, perform researchMaintain vendor contracts.Set up vendors/W-9 requests/Yearly 1099 and 1096 preparation.Bill clients for legal/WC fees.Answer client questions – emails, phone calls – on statement issues or payments on account.RequirementsResponsibilities of the PositionExemplifies the Mission/Vision/Core Values of RevOne Companies in all personal and professional behavior.Collaborates with manager to identify own learning needs and achieve goals using available resources to meet these needs/goals.Works in collaboration with other departmental associates when applicable to ensure the continued success of RevOne Companies.Initiates behavior changes, as necessary based upon performance feedback.Requirements of the Position3-5 years’ experience in accounting/bookkeeping required.Knowledge of Quick Books software and FACS software preferred.Proficient in Excel.Knowledge in Microsoft Office products.Details oriented.Display strong organization/time management skills.Previous payroll experience.Experience in benefits administration preferred.Knowledge of HIPAA preferred.Must be able to perform under pressure and in a fast paced environment.Employee must be able to multi-task, prioritize and meet deadlines.Excellent verbal communication skills.Effective critical thinking and problem solving skills.Occasionally required to stand or walk and lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.Difficulty of WorkWork activities are performed independently. The work can include some difficult aspects. Advice and guidance may be sought from the Controller as warranted to ensure the provision of quality service.ResponsibilityWork is independent in nature. The incumbent makes a substantial impact on the client, employees, and management. Errors by this employee could go unnoticed and cause significant impact.Personal Work RelationshipsIncumbent may deal with various clients, management, colleagues, and employees throughout the company.Schedule: Monday to Friday 7:30 AM to 4:30 PMSalary Description 36k - 55k per year
