Our civil staff work alongside structural, geotechnical, transportation, and land-surveying teams.Position SummaryBranch Engineering is looking for a licensed Civil Engineer to join our Springfield or Philomath team. This position is a good fit for an engineer who enjoys thoughtful technical work, careful plan review, and helping project teams produce accurate, complete designs. The role combines civil design and project support with a strong focus on quality control, without formal personnel-management responsibilities.Key Responsibilities• Plan and design civil infrastructure projects, including site development, grading, drainage, utilities, roadways, and stormwater systems.• Prepare clear review comments, evaluate revised submittals, and perform quality-control reviews before civil engineering deliverables are issued.• Review civil plans, calculations, reports, specifications, and supporting documents for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable requirements.• Coordinate with project managers, designers, technicians, clients, agencies, contractors, and other engineering disciplines.• Prepare technical documents, permit materials, cost estimates, and other deliverables while managing priorities and deadlines.• Participate in project meetings and occasional project-site visits as needed.Qualifications• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field, or equivalent work experience.• Active Professional Engineer (PE) license.• At least two years of professional civil engineering experience.• Knowledge of applicable codes, regulations, permitting requirements, and engineering standards.• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and common PDF-review software; experience with HydroCAD or AutoTURN is a plus.• Strong technical judgment, attention to detail, organization, and written and verbal communication skills.• Valid driver's license and ability to visit project sites as needed.Working at Branch• A stable home base in Springfield, with work that is primarily office-based and only occasional project-site travel.• Day-to-day coordination with Branch's civil, structural, geotechnical, transportation, and land-surveying teams.• A professional but casual workplace that supports work-life balance and professional growth.Compensation and BenefitsLocation: Springfield, OregonJob type: Full-time, in personWork arrangement: Primarily office-based with occasional project-site visitsCompensation: $90,000-$110,000 per year, depending on experienceBenefits include:• Seven paid holidays.• Paid time off that begins accruing at 8 hours per month for full-time employees and increases over time in accordance with the employee handbook.• Branch currently pays 100% of the employee health insurance premium and 100% of the employee dental premium; dependent and plan buy-up options are available at employee cost.• Health care and dependent care Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA).• 401(k) Safe Harbor Match and Profit-Sharing Plan after eligibility requirements are met.
