Whether your passion lies in pediatric language development, adult neurogenic disorders, or helping seniors navigate cognitive-linguistic challenges, you'll find both fulfillment and flexibility here.DescriptionAssess patients across pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics using both standardized assessments and observational techniques.Create individualized treatment plans that cater to both immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing goals.Deliver one-on-one speech therapy services focusing on communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing.Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nursing staff, physicians, caregivers, and family members to devise cohesive treatment strategies.Provide education to patients and their families to facilitate ongoing progress beyond therapy sessions.Occasionally contribute to inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions, ensuring seamless continuity throughout the care journey.Maintain thorough and timely documentation adhering to all state, federal, and organizational standards.Continue to expand your expertise through ongoing education and collaboration with peers.EducationMaster's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is not yet obtained. CertificationsState licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 30 days of starting employment. SkillsDeep knowledge of evidence-based treatment techniques across all ages, with a solid grasp of developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing challenges.Exceptional interpersonal communication skills with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.Ability to adapt therapeutic methods to meet the varied cultural and linguistic needs of individuals.Strong clinical judgment and analytical skills.Familiarity with electronic medical records and documentation protocols.
