WTP/WWTP Superintendent

Job Description JOB PURPOSEThe Project Superintendent is responsible for the safety, quality, efficiency, and timeliness of the project. This position will provide on-site coordination for all phases of the project, including material, equipment, subcontractors, and labor. While there are specific responsibilities and expectations described below, it is essential that the Project Superintendent be organized, possess good judgment skills, communicate effectively, and have technical knowledge of earthwork, structural concrete, mechanical piping, site utilities, etc.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESPromotes safety, quality, efficiency, and core values· Develops, refines, and updates the project schedule· Complete knowledge and understanding of contract drawings/specifications· Understands project costs and manages company assets· Creates and manages project documentation· Coordinates project operations including subcontractors and material vendors· Knowledge of all regulations to ensure all aspects of the project are compliant· Provides leadership and maintains effective working relationships with the on-site staff· Develops daily crew lists and manages field activities to ensure the project completion date is met· Leads weekly foreman meeting· Plans and develops a three-week forecast to proactively identify issues that could lead to problems and facilitate solutions· Maintains regulatory compliance for projects· Ability to interface and maintain good relationships with owners· Regular travel to jobs in Northeastern Ohio· This job description is not designed to contain a comprehensive listing of all activities, duties, or responsibilities required of the employee. Flexibility is required to support time-sensitive issues as they arise. However, greater emphasis is placed on meeting the responsibilities assigned to this position.WORK ENVIRONMENTMost of the work is performed outdoors under all weather conditions. The work schedule will involve travel and potential work at different field locations as necessary. Depending on the project, overnight stays may be expected.
