ABA Area Director (BCBA / BCBA-D)

Southern California | Full-Time Leadership RoleWe are seeking an experienced Area Director (BCBA or BCBA-D) to lead the clinical and operational performance of multiple regions across Southern California. This is a senior leadership role responsible for driving results, developing high-performing teams, and ensuring the highest standards of clinical quality and compliance.This position sits at the top of the clinical leadership structure and is ideal for a data-driven leader who thrives in accountability-driven environments and knows how to scale teams effectively.What You'll OwnFull oversight of regional performance and key quality and performance indicators, including utilization, supervision, retention, client outcomes, and strengthening regional capacity and access.Leadership and development of BCBAs, Supervisors, and Behavior TechniciansClinical quality, documentation standards, and audit readinessStaffing strategy, scheduling optimization, and caseload distributionCross-functional alignment with recruiting, scheduling, and operations teamsClient satisfaction and payer relationships, including escalations and partnershipsWhat We're Looking ForActive BCBA or BCBA-D certification5+ years of post-certification ABA experience2+ years of Director-level experience overseeing both clinical and operational performanceProven track record managing KPIs and a regionStrong experience with payer requirements, compliance, and clinical documentationDemonstrated ability to lead large teams and drive accountability across regionsWhat Sets You ApartYou've led teams through growth and change-not just maintained themYou're comfortable making decisions backed by data and holding teams accountableYou understand how to balance clinical excellence with operational performanceYou've managed large teams/regions and can speak to measurable impactWork EnvironmentRemote role, but must be based in Southern California with regional oversight responsibilitiesFull-time leadership role with flexibility to support team needs outside standard hoursTravel within region as neededCompensationCompensation is competitive and will be aligned with experience.
