Position Summary/Objective The Transportation Technician is responsible for the transport of products to our internal and external customers. The ideal candidate must have a valid drivers license, be a team player and be able to operate a vehicle safely. The responsibilities of this role include loading and unloading delivery vehicle as well as effectively communicating with customers. This role will also assist with fulfilling outbound orders as well as post-harvest duties as needed. Responsibilities Load and unload delivery vehiclesConfirming contents to be loaded/unloaded based on sales orders and manifestsSafely deliver products to retail and wholesale customersAdhere to all vehicle and traffic safety laws and policiesInterface with retail and wholesale customers during delivery - represent our organization to our customers in a professional and courteous wayEffectively utilize the state-mandated point-of-sale systemFully complete all required documentationImmediately report any inventory discrepancies to the Inventory Manager for further actionAssist with cycle counts and inventory auditsMaintain compliance with all Company policies, regulations, standards, values, and proceduresPrevent diversion of products by securing vehicles during transport activitiesParticipate in staff training and maintain product and industry knowledgeAssist with and receive deliveries of inbound raw materialsRespond to vehicle maintenance issues by timely reporting of issuesFollow directives of the Transportation Lead, Inventory Lead and/or Inventory ManagerReports directly to the Inventory ManagerOther duties as assignedQualifications Preferred Experience, Education and Skills: Minimum of a high school degree requiredCombination of education and work experience will be consideredData entry experience preferredExperience in warehouse inventory control or related area helpfulWork history that demonstrates stability, progressive responsibility, and willingness to accept new dutiesStrong safety mindsetCannabis experience and knowledge preferredComfortable working in a fast-paced environmentKnowledge of computer and office equipment and programs; proficiency in computer usage including seed-to-sale software, MS Office applications (MS Office Word, Excel and Outlook), and moreAbility to focus with a high-level attention to detailStrong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills, including anticipatory thinking and the ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a calm composureAbility to maintain confidentiality with absolute reliability and honesty, high level of integrity, and strong work ethicAbility to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practicesWillingness to be cross trainedExceptional team player with strong communication skillsDemonstrated ability to work comfortably and effectively within a diverse, multicultural, multi-generational environmentOther Requirements: Must pass stringent background test requirements of state you will be working in.
