Structural Engineer
Overview
In this Structural Engineer role you deliver robust design solutions for building and infrastructure projects within a client-focused, multidisciplinary firm. You will contribute across design, analysis and site liaison, helping projects move from concept to completion. You’ll collaborate with diverse teams to ensure coordinated, compliant outcomes and support junior engineers. ResponsibilitiesPerform structural analysis and detailed design for building and infrastructure schemes in line with standardsPrepare technical drawings, specifications and engineering reportsConduct site visits and liaise with contractors during constructionCollaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated engineering solutionsAssist senior engineers and mentor junior team membersSupport project delivery from design through to completion
Key requirementsExperienced Structural Engineer, Structural Design Engineer or Civil Engineer in a similar roleMinimum 3 years post-graduation experienceExperience across materials (steel, concrete, timber, masonry)Background in a UK consultancyStrong knowledge of structural design softwareDegree in Civil or Structural EngineeringWorking towards Chartered status (MICE or MIStructE)Full clean driving licenceEffective communication with contractorsTeam collaboration across multidisciplinary groupsAttention to detail and problem-solvingStructural design softwareStructural analysis and design methodologies
