BASIC FUNCTIONThe Continuous Improvement/ Process Engineer is responsible for driving operational excellence within the warehouse by analyzing, designing, and improving processes within the warehouse environment. This role will support cross-functional processes across Planning, Customer Service, and other business functions to identify inefficiencies and implement process improvements. The ideal candidate brings a strong foundation in process engineering and project management, with the ability to lead both continuous improvement and transformational initiatives that deliver measurable business impact.Principal Duties & ResponsibilitiesAnalyze, design, and improve warehouse processes including inbound, outbound, inventory control, and material handlingIdentify inefficiencies, roadblocks, and waste using data analysis, process mapping, and time studiesFacilitate Kaizen events, root cause analysis (RCA), and structured problem-solving sessionsDevelop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to productivity, quality, safety, and cost to measure process performance and improvement outcomesPartner with warehouse leadership to implement standardized work processes and sustain improvementsTrain and coach employees on Lean principles, tools, and continuous improvement methodologiesConduct time studies and value stream mapping to identify waste and bottlenecksSupport implementation of new systems, automation, or process changes within the facilityMonitor and report on project progress, savings, and operational impactEnsure compliance with safety, quality, and company policies during all improvement initiativesLead and manage large-scale, strategic initiatives projects and continuous improvement projectsOwn and manage the project pipeline to include intake, prioritization, and alignment with business objectives and execution planningApply structured project management methodologies to drive execution, timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder alignmentSupport and lead change management efforts, ensuring successful adoption and sustainment of new processesPartner cross-functionally with Planning, Customer Service, and Operations teams to improve end-to-end processes and customer experienceExpand process improvement efforts beyond operations into broader business functionsProvide structure, governance, and reporting across multiple concurrent projects
