This role reports to the Director of Finance, offering exposure to a wide range of accounting functions including AR, AP, payroll, and month-end processes. What You'll Do: Support accounts receivable activities including invoice generation, payment application, account reconciliation, and follow-up on outstanding balances Assist with accounts payable by reviewing invoices and expense reports for accuracy and proper coding, processing payments, and maintaining vendor records and W-9 documentation Help manage daily cash receipts, including logging deposits, applying payments, and assisting with mail processing Process bi-weekly payroll, audit timecards for accuracy, and coordinate employee updates (benefits, deductions, leave) with HR and third-party providers Contribute to month-end and year-end close by assisting with reconciliations, financial reporting, and audit preparation Maintain organized filing systems (both physical and electronic) and support record retention processes Assist with budgeting efforts, including maintaining Excel-based tracking tools and reports Partner with internal teams on grant billing and reporting, including monthly and quarterly government reimbursement requests Support departmental trainings and collaborate on special projects and process improvements Provide general accounting and administrative support as needed What You Bring: Accounting experience, or a combination of education and relevant internship experience - Associate's degree in Accounting or related field strongly preferred Working knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and/or payroll processes Experience with accounting software (QuickBooks experience is a plus) and proficiency in Excel Familiar with supporting HR processes such as onboarding, pre-employment activities, and I-9 compliance (Paycom a plus) Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines Solid organizational skills and a proactive, team-oriented approach Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate across departments High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential information $23.00 - $25.00 per hour Please email your resume for immediate consideration.
