Summary: The Content Strategy Associate is a key member of the Marketing team, supporting VanEck’s earned media strategy, with a focus on AEO and the evolving financial media landscape, including financial influencers and emerging platforms. Working closely with internal teams and external PR partners, this role supports day-to-day earned media activity and shapes insights into media-ready narratives to drive visibility not only in traditional media, but also in AI-generated responses and emerging content ecosystems. The role helps identify new opportunities to position VanEck perspectives with broader and increasingly digital-first audiences. The ideal candidate is a strong writer with sound editorial judgment, market awareness and an understanding of how financial content is discovered and amplified across AI platforms and digital media. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Includes the following, other duties may be assigned as needed: Support AEO-driven earned media strategy, ensuring VanEck perspectives are structured, attributable and positioned to surface in AI-generated responsesMonitor the evolving media landscape, including emerging platforms, new formats and financial influencers, to identify opportunities to expand VanEck’s reach and relevanceDevelop and refine earned media narratives, pitches and media responses, translating insights into clear, differentiated and media-ready messaging optimized for clarity, quotability and pickup across traditional media and AI platformsIdentify and act on newsjacking opportunities, helping position VanEck perspectives within timely market conversationsManage press release drafting and review process, ensuring announcements are optimized for AI discovery while reflecting VanEck’s positioningDevelop briefing materials to support multimedia engagements, including talking points, recent commentary, data, charts and suggested funds to highlightDay-to-day coordination with PR agency to ensure timely coverage, coordination and follow-up for inbound inquiriesContribute to consistency of messaging across earned, owned and paid media, supporting broader integrated content strategy effortsTrack and assess impact of earned media activityExtend earned media placements into owned and distributed channelsSupport internal communications of earned media coverage, highlighting key messages and ensuring visibility across stakeholders To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Supervisory Responsibilities:This position has no supervisory responsibilities. Qualifications & Competencies: Excellent writing and editing skills, with proven ability to translate complex topics into clear, concise languageStrong editorial judgment and ability to respond quickly and thoughtfully in time-sensitive situationsExperience supporting or working alongside PR teams or agenciesAbility to coordinate across multiple stakeholdersStrong attention to detail, particularly ensuring accuracy in financial communicationsAwareness of developments in media environmentStrong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlinesAbility to work in office a minimum of 4 days a week Experience & Education:Minimum of 4-6 years of relevant experience in financial journalism, communications, PR support or content strategyExperience with asset management, ETFs or financial services preferredBachelor’s degree preferably in communications, journalism, finance, economics or related field Compensation: If this position will be performed in whole or in part in New York City, the base salary range is $90,000 - $110,000. Individual salaries may vary based on different factors including but not limited to, skills, experience, job-related knowledge, and location.
