Position Summary:The RN, Medical Nursing delivers comprehensive, patient-centered care to adults with a wide range of acute and chronic medical conditions within an inpatient medical setting. This role performs thorough assessments, monitors changes in patient condition, and implements evidence-based nursing interventions to support stabilization, recovery, and safe transitions of care. Working collaboratively with physicians, therapists, case managers, and interdisciplinary team members, the RN helps coordinate individualized care plans and promote consistent, high-quality outcomes. As part of a supportive, team-oriented nursing environment, this position contributes to patient safety, comfort, and engagement through skilled clinical judgment and compassionate communication throughout the hospitalization.Key Responsibilities:Perform ongoing assessments and monitor vital signs, clinical status, and responses to treatment, intervening promptly when changes occur.Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments according to established standards and provider orders.Coordinate individualized care plans with interdisciplinary partners, supporting patient education, discharge readiness, and chronic disease management.Document assessments, interventions, and communications accurately in the electronic health record to ensure continuity and regulatory compliance.Support safe delegation to LPNs, CNAs, and other team members while maintaining accountability for overall patient care.Participate in unit-based quality and safety initiatives, contributing to continual improvement in patient outcomes and care processes.
