Material Handler - B Shift (HVP)

The Material Handler will learn and perform assigned tasks depending on location. Responsible for understanding the Material Processing theory of operations, with the responsibility of making repairs and/or adjustments to equipment, replacement of wearable components, troubleshooting equipment when performing in non-standard condition, all daily responsibility to problem solve for downtime issues. The incumbent will learn and perform assigned tasks, depending on the specific manufacturing technology that is utilized across our manufacturing sites. This role will contribute to the achievement of company initiatives in order to meet our safety, quality, process reliability, customer service, cost and innovation goals.Key Responsibilitiesinspect and maintain safety (LOTO) and quality (HACCP / GMP) parameters and specificationSafe execution of equipment startup and shutdown proceduresExecute standard setup and changeover of equipmentOperate equipment within run parameters and process specificationsCalibrate or adjust equipment to ensure quality production, using tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, protractors, or ring gaugesEnter, transcribe, record, store, or maintain information in written or electronic format (SAP, TrakSYS, ESIS, ASIS, Excel, Manual tracking logs)Monitor and adjust production processes or equipment for quality and productivityPrepare production documents, such as manufacturing batch records, quality records, inventory reports, or productivity reportsExecute Autonomous Maintenance activities - general cleaning, inspection and lubrication of equipment to prescribed standardsDetect equipment abnormalities and improve to prevent future equipment deteriorationMaintain equipment performance through the understanding of equipment structure and functions and able to discover the cause of equipment abnormalitiesAbility to understand the relationship between equipment and quality and can predict quality defects and discover their causes.Perform routine maintenance and equipment repairMaintain clean, orderly and tour-ready work areas / 5STroubleshoot basic mechanical and equipment electrical control systemsWork independently or with a team and utilize problem solving tools (5 Why) to determine root cause, eliminate losses, and improve processesGenerate standardized work instructions / One Point Lessons / Job AidsMaterial movement (using manual and Powered Industrial Trucks and equipment)Work in confined spaces as requiredCollaborate professionally with Product Development team members and provide feedback on proposed manufacturing instructions and standardsCoach, mentor and train other techniciansAssist engineers in developing, building, or testing prototypes or new products, processes or proceduresOther duties as assigned Qualifications2-3 years manufacturing or mechanical experience required3 years of manufacturing experience; food manufacturing preferred. TPM environment preferred.Team-based work environment preferred. SAP experience preferred.Base Salary: $17.85 - $26.77Base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, experience for this role, and/or internal equity of our current employees as part of any final offer.
