This role involves developing and operationalizing software applications that influence healthcare decisions for providers in the Home Health, Hospice, and Skilled Nursing sectors. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining backend services, data ingestion and retrieval systems, and APIs that support our platform’s functionalities. As part of our innovative development approach, you will leverage AI-assisted tools and frontier models to enhance the software development lifecycle, from architecture through implementation. This position offers flexibility for remote work or a hybrid setup within the United States, with in-person requirements for employees residing within 75 miles of Santa Barbara, California, every Wednesday.QualificationsStrong proficiency in C# and .NET frameworkHands-on experience with SQL and structured databases, including schema design and query optimizationProven expertise in designing solutions for parallel processing and multithreaded environments, including task parallelism, concurrent data pipelines, thread safety, and async patterns in .NETAbility to develop and optimize SQL queries and define OLTP structuresExperience building and maintaining data ingestion pipelines and API servicesExcellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of creating precise specifications and engaging with stakeholdersBachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, or a related fieldMinimum of 5 years of professional backend software engineering experiencePreferred qualifications include experience with AI-driven development, familiarity with healthcare regulatory and compliance contexts (such as CMS reporting and quality measures), and knowledge of HIPAA requirements related to PHI.
