Skylark Assisted Living is seeking an organized, detail-oriented, and compassionate Business Office Manager (BOM) to oversee the financial and administrative operations of our community. The Business Office Manager plays a key role in supporting residents, families, and staff while ensuring compliance, accuracy, and efficiency in business office functions.
Schedule: Weekdays (24-32 hours per week)
Key Responsibilities
Manage resident billing, accounts receivable, and collections
Process move in paperwork, residency agreements, and move-in documentation
Coordinate with families regarding billing questions and financial matters
Maintain accurate resident financial records in compliance with state regulations
Oversee payroll processing and timekeeping
Manage accounts payable, invoicing, and expense tracking
Support budgeting, audits, and financial reporting as requested
Ensure confidentiality and proper handling of sensitive information
Collaborate with the Assistant Executive Director and department heads to support community operations
Qualifications
Minimum of 1 year of experience in business office management, accounting, or administrative finance (healthcare or senior living preferred)
Strong understanding of billing, payroll, and basic accounting principles
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic billing/payroll systems
Excellent organizational, communication, and customer service skills
Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and multitask effectively
Knowledge of assisted living regulations
