Job Title: Process Engineering Technician Job Type: Contract Site Type: Onsite (Westboro, MA) Duration: 6 Months Job Overview: The Process Engineering Technician will directly contribute to the company’s internal manufacturing of robotic systems to support its Fulfillment Network. This position affords the qualified individual the opportunity to work in an innovative and challenging environment with an intelligent and motivated group of people.Job Responsibilities:Act as an ambassador for safety within the team and promote safe work across the sitePerform duties assigned by and under the supervision of a project manager or engineerAct as the technical consultant for capital projects within the process engineering teamInstall, maintain, and troubleshoot all manufacturing systems including automated material handling equipment, conveyance, packaging machines, labeling machines, and other production equipmentInstall, maintain, and troubleshoot controls components including sensors, scanners, motor starters, relays, limit switches, proximity sensors, solenoids, servo drives, frequency inverters, linear drives, and encodersRequires experience using diagnostic tools to support these tasks, like the use of vendor debug tools, multimeters and OscilloscopesWorking on PLCs and PLC programs, ability to troubleshoot ladder logic and componentsDevelop and deliver Preventive Maintenance programsWorks from schematics and engineering drawings to aid in the creation of process documents and work instructionsJob Requirements:Journey level mechanical skills with a minimum 2 years of experience mechanical electrical troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance of manufacturing, RD and facility equipmentDemonstrated ability to multitask and prioritize many different projects and workload Solid foundational knowledge of PLC based controls systems Allen Bradly Rockwell preferredDemonstrated experience in Electrical and Mechanical and Pneumatic diagnosis and troubleshooting of robotic and other machines and equipmentAbility to document startup processes and designs of mechanical and electrical systems for production equipmentCapable to analyze equipment installation practices and offer solutions to improve the efficacy of installation schedulesEffective interpersonal, team, prioritization, and written verbal communication skills including honesty, integrity, and respect for fellow associatesStrong oral and written communications skills with a keen eye for details in documentationBasic computer proficiency, such as data entry and Microsoft Office programsPhysical dexterity to climb ladders and lift up to 35 lbs Knowledge of safe working practices around moving and electrical equipmentPerform basic to intermediate level fabrications and machine modifications using standard machine shop equipment drill press, saw, mill, lathe, hand tools, etc.Demonstrated proficiency using a variety of machine shop and hand held power toolsPreferred Qualifications:10 years of work experience installing, troubleshooting, building, and maintaining equipment in a manufacturing environmentFormal trade qualification or current electrical contractor license Robotic programming experience Fanuc, ABB, Kuka, etc.Fabrication machining experience in a development environment Identify potential or existing flaws and perform troubleshooting based on computer aided design CAD files Solidworks, AutoCAD, etc.Maintain, troubleshoot and modify PLCPC controllers such as motor control systems, servo drives, frequency drives, etc.Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and its tools including 5S, KaizenExperience using systems for data collection and Quality Control*Salary Range: $40/hr with Medical, Vision, and Dental Benefits
