BAS Controls Project Manager I

Position Summary: This role is a technical, "boots-on-the-ground" leadership position focused on the execution and supervision of building automation and control system projects. You will act as the primary field lead, supporting a PM 2 to ensure jobs stay on track and under budget.Understand engineering and installation standards and protocolsMark-up drawing for creation of as-builtsTroubleshoot and modify Tridium programsExecution Project GoalsAssist PM 2 with on-site project managementSupervise electricians, apprentices, and other subcontractor on installationLead installation, wiring and testing of field devicesSupervise start-up and commissioning of Controls systemSupervise troubleshooting of controls systemsAssist with emergency calls when neededDocumentation of all revisions to project engineering drawings; effectively communication information to design engineer and PM 2Participate in job site final check out; assist PM 2 and Engineers in completing all job closeout documentationQuality Project GoalsQuality control for each assigned projectEnsure complete customer satisfactionCompleted on time and within budgetDocument all project events and properly archive records Support of sales proposals and presentations as requiredObtain testimonials from our clients on completed projects for feedback and marketing purposesDirect supervision of employees on the work teamManage assigned team members schedulesEfficiently and effectively distribute work to team membersImplementation of team members annual goals Financial Project GoalsAssist PM 2 in ensuring gross profit targets are met for each projectAssist PM 2 in ensuring monthly revenue production targets met or exceededCoordinate with PM 2 Negotiate change orders for project(s) when applicableAid in collections when necessary
