You will primarily be responsible for assisting with management of client engagements with an emphasis on crisis management, litigation support, and investor relations. You will develop written materials, gain exposure to and provide strategic communications counsel, and help shape the firm’s strategic direction and culture.What you’ll bringThe ideal candidate will be a recent college graduate with exceptional writing skills, an interest in crisis communications and litigation support, and, due to the high-stakes nature of our client engagements, a strong ability to get up to speed quickly and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.Specific requirements are as follows:Recent college graduates with up to 2+ years of full-time, post-collegiate work experienceBachelor’s degree or higherStrong interest in crisis communications and litigation supportExceptional writing, research, and critical thinking skillsAbility to manage projects and multitask while maintaining sharp attention to detailFamiliarity and comfort with utilizing research databases and social media platformsAptitude for producing high-quality work product in high-stakes situations and within a short timeframeProficiency in Microsoft (Office, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)What you’ll doConduct research assignments (background research for new business meetings, reporter briefing packets, media lists, case studies, benchmarking research, etc.)Support colleagues in developing written communications materials (key messaging, talking points, press releases, Q&As, memos, presentations, announcement rollouts, pitch notes, etc.)Prepare analyses based on research of media coverage and relevant industry trendsMonitor and circulate media coverage in real time for numerous client engagementsActively participate in internal and client meetingsParticipate in training sessions on our industries and practice areas, including how to develop your professional network and “pitch” the firmConsistently engage with colleagues to seek new challenges that provide opportunities for growth and developmentEmbody an entrepreneurial mindset and approach in supporting August’s internal, administrative, and marketing functionsTo apply, please send your resume and cover letter to Recruiting@AugustCo.com.
