Sr. Property Accountant & Software Manager

The firm averages $9 billion in transaction volume, manages more than 54 million square feet of space, and conducts 2,700 appraisal, consulting, and cost segregation assignments annually.The Senior Property & Software Manager is responsible for supporting the financial and operational needs of the Asset Services Team through the management and oversight of property accounting software systems, financial reporting processes, and portfolio accounting functions. This role ensures the integrity, accuracy, and efficiency of accounting system data, file imports/exports, and financial reporting deliverables while supporting process improvements and operational initiatives across the accounting function.In addition to overseeing accounting systems and processes, this role maintains an assigned property portfolio and is responsible for financial reporting, reconciliations, budgeting support, cash management, and other day-to-day property accounting functions while partnering closely with Property Management and Accounting teams.Essential FunctionsManage accounting software and systems, ensuring file master data creation and changes are completed accurately and in a timely mannerEnsure all file imports and exports that support the accounting function are conducted in an accurate and timely mannerManage accounting, operations and other initiatives. Including new process development, implementation and monitoringManage and maintain the integrity of tenant data in property management accounting systemTimely and accurate preparation of all financial reports to client, including account reconciliations, projections/forecasts, annual budgets and ad hoc reporting requestsPartner with the Property Accountants to ensure accuracy of journal entries and general ledgerPrepare accruals for Property Managers when relevant at least 48 hours prior to due date of Owner ReportPartner with the Property Accountant to prepare periodic reforecasts as required by ClientReview cash management functions with the Property Accountant, including but not limited to: monitor and record cash transactions and bank reconciliationsManage accounts receivable process including but not limited to: A/R analysis and collections, A/R aging review, Vendor inquiriesPartner with the Property Team to review month-end close procedures including review of account reconciliationsPartner with Property Team with preparation of annual CAM reconciliations and estimates Promote and maintain a positive working environment in alignment with Kidder Mathews values Other FunctionsPerform other duties or projects as requestedESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
