Nursing Home Maintenance/Environmental Services Director

We are actively seeking a Director of Maintenance/Environmental Services to lead our Skilled Nursing Facilities maintenance/environmental services team in Amsterdam, NY. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Ensure the Life Safety of all residents, visitors, and employees within the facility. Troubleshoot and Repair several different systems within the facility. Ensure State Required Inspections are in compliance with State and Federal codes Ensure the facility presents a welcoming, home-like appearance for all residents and visitors. Work with other Department Heads of facility to constantly improve inner workings of facility. Performs general maintenance work on a daily basis, repairing electrical, plumbing, HVAC Maintains the grounds by snow plowing, shoveling, lawn mowing, sweeping and trimming trees and shrubs or securing/managing contractor for those duties. Conducts daily inspections of the building exterior and ground equipment. Keeps accurate maintenance records of work done, inventory and purchasing. Manages expenses through knowledge of budget. May purchase maintenance supplies, tools and appliances with Executive Director Approval. Recommends replacement of major items as well as long and short term maintenance needs. Maintains, plans and implements preventative maintenance program and prepares the Preventative Maintenance Report for Executive Director's review. Direct and administer the housekeeping program to provide services that will create a safe, sanitary and comfortable environment Requirements: High School Diploma or Equivalent 2 to 3 years experience as a maintenance/environmental services director in a skilled nursing setting HVAC, Plumbing, and Electrical experience preferred Knowledge of Fire Safety Codes, NYS and Federal Regulations for nursing homes is a plus Strong Managerial Experience Great communication skills What we offer: Competitive Compensation Great Benefits Package Paid Time off Professional Growth and Stability Salary DOE We are an equal opportunity employer.
