Job SummarySupervises the day-to-day department production activities of the Operations Governance team. Serves as the primary contact and representative for compliance business partners. Conducts cross training, control and audit activities, production, and quality control. Participates in a variety of projects as requested. Serves as a team resource responding to questions regarding policies and procedures and assisting with escalated issues.Job Duties And ResponsibilitiesSupervises the day-to-day activities of the Operations Governance team. Coordinates staffing and scheduling for all team members to ensure appropriate coverage. Works with management to implement changes or initiatives to be addressed with the operations team.Performs quality reviews to verify accuracy and adherence to quality standards and established timeframes, procedures, policies, and regulatory requirements. Provides recommendations and corrective actions in response to findings observed during the quality process.Reports findings and observations to management based on established quality standards and processes. Performs follow-up review of maintenance activities to ensure identified items are updated correctly in applicable systems. Generates ad hoc reports from various applicable systems/databases as requested.Provides feedback, as needed, to management on the results of quality reviews to encourage team members to follow methods and procedures, while ensuring quality and efficiency of production. Performs a sample of other team members production to ensure accuracy of work across the role. Provides coaching sessions based on outcome of quality review performed as required. Maintains accurate, timely and orderly records and files of completed work in progress.Works directly with manager to prepare monthly and quarterly reporting to provide to business unit and compliance. Maintains reporting metrics for all areas reviewed for tracking, reporting and training. Works with project teams to identify procedures and scenarios for production quality control. Assists with assigned special projects including monthly reporting, audit/exam requests and/or first line of defense testing.Serves as a subject matter expert for their direct line of business as it pertains to operations. Ensures compliance with all banking regulations and stays abreast of variations in laws across state boundaries.Each team member is expected to be aware of risk within their functional area. This includes observing all policies, procedures, laws, regulations and risk limits specific to their role. Additionally, they should raise and report known or suspected violations to the appropriate Company authority in a timely fashion.Performs other related duties as required.The information on this description has been designed to indicate the general nature and level of work performed by employees within this classification.
