Math Tutor

Mathnasium of Northwest Seattle is currently looking for individuals who are great at math and enjoy working with students to help them catch up, keep up and get ahead in math. We offer part-time jobs with flexible hours, making it easy to work around your schedule. Pay starts at $18.75/hour with early opportunities for merit-based increases. About Mathnasium Mathnasium is a math-only learning center that offers math support and enrichment to students in grades 1-12. Each student in our program receives a customized learning plan based on our proprietary curriculum and teaching methods. Our instructional approach goes beyond traditional math tutoring to develop understanding and build a love for math. We are currently hiring math instructors for our Northwest Seattle Center, located in Ballard on NW Market Street, with convenient bus routes. Required Qualifications: Excellent math skills through Algebra I and Geometry Strong teamwork, communication and multi-tasking skills Ability to interact professionally with students and parents Energetic and confident personality Preferred Qualifications: Ability to teach students in upper-level high school math courses Previous teaching experience or other experience working with kids The Mathnasium learning center environment is supportive and encouraging. Applicants should love teaching and be able to motivate students toward success with math. Hours may vary, but include mid-afternoon through early evening hours, Monday – Thursday and Saturday mornings. Approximately 8-20 hours per week (flexible). Reply with resume and cover letter.
