Associate Attorney (Construction)

A respected mid-sized law firm with a statewide education law practice is seeking a Construction Attorney to join its Business, Property, and Construction Law Practice Group.Locations (Hybrid): San Francisco, Long Beach, San Diego, Sacramento, East Bay, FresnoThis is a great opportunity to work with public entities on impactful construction and infrastructure matters across California.What You’ll Do:Advise on public procurement and contract negotiationDraft, review, and negotiate a wide range of agreements, including:Construction contractsProfessional services agreements (design & construction management)Contracts for equipment, materials, and suppliesHandle matters involving bid protests, change orders, delay claims, and payment disputesSupport or participate in litigation and dispute resolution (as needed)What We’re Looking For:Minimum 5+ years of experience in construction lawStrong background in public procurement and contractingFamiliarity with construction-related claims and dispute processesExcellent analytical, writing, and communication skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities with strong attention to detailTeam-oriented with the ability to work independentlyCalifornia Bar admission requiredPublic entity experience preferred (not required)Litigation experience is a plus
