Senior Water Resources Engineer / Project Manager

AMT is growing and is seeking a highly motivated Senior Water Resources Engineer / Project Manager, with 7+ years of relevant experience, to join our growing team of design professionals in our Richmond, VA office. The right candidate would lead water resources engineering tasks for transportation-related projects for VDOT, MDSHA, NCDOT, SCDOT and Maryland, Virginia, North and South Carolina localities.This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to lead, manage and deliver challenging projects in the growing Carolina market and grow into a management position. We offer competitive compensation & benefits, flexible work arrangements, and a potential relocation allowance for the right candidate.ResponsibilitiesCompletion of calculations, reports and plans in support of transportation projects including stormwater management, storm drainage systems, culverts, open channels, bridge hydraulics and erosion and sediment controlPerform Hydrologic and Hydraulic analysis and reportingObtain permit approvals from state and local agenciesAssist in the preparation of engineering documents (plans, reports, cost estimates and specifications) for Advertisement and ConstructionMeet and work directly with clients and public agency officialsWork in collaboration with a Transportation design team comprised of other disciplines and support staff on multi-disciplinary projectsProvide QA/QC review following AMT and client-based proceduresRequired QualificationsBS in Civil Engineering with emphasis in Water ResourcesMinimum of 7 years of water resources related experience including plan and report productionHydrology and hydraulic modeling experience (storm drainage, SWM, floodplain, bridge) with commonly used softwareVirginia or Maryland Professional Engineer license required.
