CNC Programmer/Setup

Local machining shop seeks experienced CNC Programmer/Setup machinist. This role will primarily involve programming and operating HAAS CNC machines, with a focus on milling and turning operations (no lathe work). Responsibilities: Read technical drawings and set up the machines (Haas, Miyano Mill/Turn centers) in accordance with blueprints Use computer software to model cutting paths and program machines accordingly (Esprit Software is a plus) Perform quality assurance tests to ensure products meet design specifications Adjust machine cutting paths or settings to optimize production while maintaining quality Consider tools required to cut particular materials and program machines accordingly Troubleshoot and resolve problems with machines as needed Perform basic machine maintenance such as cleaning and sharpening Qualifications: Previous experience working in a manufacturing setting is required Mill 4/5 Axis experience is a plus Must have strong attention to detail Familiarity and skill with interpreting technical drawings and blueprints Skilled at troubleshooting and resolving mechanical or logistical problems Ability to work independently and closely follow directions is essential Should have a positive and professional attitude Capable of standing for extended periods of time Ability to lift up to 40 pounds for short periods of time MUST BE ABLE TO PASS A DRUG SCREEN-(INCLUDING THC) Schedule: Mon-Fri 6:00am-3:30pm Pay- Based on experience Job Type: Full-time Experience: HAAS CNC machines: 4 years (Preferred) CNC Set up: 4 years (Required) Blueprint reading: 4 years (Required) CNC Programming: 4 years (Required) Work Location: In person
