The Kitchen Manager is directly accountable for the execution and performance of the HOH andprovides direction and supervision to all HOH team members.RESPONSIBILITIESManages the operation of the sports bar, conducting effective zone managementevery hour throughout each shiftProvides support to team members and managers and adds energy to each area ofthe sports barInterviews, hires, onboards, trains, develops and retains team members, withspecific responsibility for HOH staffingDiligently follows and enforces food and general safety requirements and modelsbehavior that protects them and othersCoaches team member and shift manager behaviors and makes recommendationsfor the counseling, discipline and termination of team membersResponsible for overall speed of service and ticket time trackingInteracts with guests in the dining room and the bar, makes personal connectionsand seeks specific feedback about their experienceManages the HOH execution (service, safety and efficiency) as well as the overallHOH financial and labor performance:Food Cost of Sales and variancesOversees effective and efficient ABLM scheduling of labor for HOHReviews and analyzes overall inventory and ordering levelsResponsible for Overall Satisfaction (OSAT), Market Force and other guestfeedback metrics related to HOH serviceMaintains HOH organization, food storage standards, food safety measures andcleanliness standardsResponsible for the management of cost of goods sold (COGS) related costs for theHOHEnsures the execution of training programs and ensures compliance for directreports on all training and certification requirementsHandles team members complaints or concerns by actively listening, involving thenecessary individuals, investigating and resolving where appropriateEnsures compliance with all local, state and federal lawsAssists with all activation rollouts and introductions of new products, tools andservicesCreates and executes strategic plans for HOH based off feedback reportsSupports GM with Certified Trainer selections in area of responsibility and trainingprogram executionConducts pre and post shift meetingsCompletes all manager tools on time and with integrityManages the balance of labor hours and service efficiency during their shift to meetlabor guidelines (ABLM) without sacrificing guest serviceInterviews, hires, onboards, trains, develops and retains team members, withspecific responsibility for HOH staffingConducts scheduled performance appraisals for direct reportsStays current on all federal, state, local and company required training andcertifications, such as responsible alcohol service and food safetyOther duties as assignedKNOWLEDGE/SKILLSGeneral knowledge of labor laws, health codes, safe food handling and sanitation,responsible alcohol service, safety and security systems and procedures andcomputer operationsStrong people management and communication and interpersonal skillsSuperior guest service and hospitality skillsSkill in time management and organization with attention to detailSelf-motivated and a passion for teaching othersAbility to read and comprehend written materials and perform basic to intermediatemathematical computationsAbility to maintain a high degree of pace and intensity for an extended period oftimeBUFFALO WILD WINGS CULTURE The physical demands for this position require the individual to sit, stand, bend, lift up to 50 pounds, and move intermittently during working hours.
