Working for our team, you can truly make a difference.The Printing Press Operator on 3rd shift is an essential member of the team, responsible for the manufacturing of printed labels while continuously monitoring label quality and press conditions.Why work at MCC:Generous benefits package including medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance and 401(k)Paid holidays: New Years, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, plus two floating holidaysRole and Responsibilities:Provides immediate support when press or finishing process is down and operates equipment as neededProvides input and assistance to employees and management team on technical issues, problems, and potential resolution(s) in a timely mannerReviews job tickets and verifies needed supplies are available and used as specifiedEnsures that product is printed per customer specificationsProvides second sign-off for operators regarding Quality inspections as neededConducts training on safety, SOPs, and standard workEncourages participation in continuous improvement efforts to ensure waste reduction, cost savings, etc.Cascades critical information such as new techniques, procedures, practices, and guidelines to appropriate individualsPartners with shift supervisor on key technical issues, including new product introductions, custom services, cost management, and quality assurance.Other duties as assigned.Duties may be changed, or additional duties assigned. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Qualifications and Education Requirements:High School Diploma or GED and/or equivalent knowledge and experience.Previous technical resource experience in a printing production environment, with two-five years of press operator experience2+ years as a printing press operator experience with Mark Andy P5sPreferred Skills:Strong written/verbal interpersonal and communication skills. Must be able to read, write, and comprehend instructionsBasic computer skills; will train on site-specific softwareStrong initiative, problem-solving, and resourcefulnessAbility to manage multiple tasks and coordinate priorities simultaneously; good time management, planning, and organizing skillsAbility to promote a working environment that encourages employee involvement to achieve operational excellencePhysical Demands:Works in a manufacturing environment and will be required to wear hearing, foot, and/or other personal protective equipment while performing duties in a manufacturing settingMay, on a continuous basis, stand for a long period of time and stoop, bend, and kneel frequentlyMay handle, feel and reach for items in and around work area and continuously grasp product from a conveyor for up to 10 hoursModerate to frequent walking and lifting and/or moving up to 40 lbs. repetitively is requiredSpecific vision abilities required by this job include close & distance vision, ability to adjust focus, and ability to distinguish color variations, peripheral, and depth perceptionThe noise level in the work environment is usually medium to loudMust be flexible to work varying schedules and hours as neededFor over a century, Multi-Color Corporation (MCC) has crafted premium labels for the world's most iconic and recognizable brands.
