Senior Full stack Engineer

About CO-VerCO-Ver is a technology startup solving a problem that has cost owners and developers millions: unverified change orders. We combine AI tools with human estimators to verify that every change order our clients receive is legitimate, documented and fairly priced. One focused mission. We are based in Jacksonville, FL and growing.About This RoleThis is an opportunity to join an ambitious, funded startup on the ground floor. Our team is small, sharp and passionate about what we're building, and we're looking for impact makers and self-starters.As one of the first group of full-time engineers on the team, you won't be handed a backlog and told to execute. You'll help shape how we build: the architecture, the tradeoffs and the patterns that will carry the product forward. You’ll make decisions that impact the future of the platform and the company. If owning the technical direction of a product that actually matters sounds like what you've been looking for, keep reading. What You'll OwnLead the build of real product features end-to-end: the change order submission flow, bid comparison views, stakeholder routing, document upload and parsing, RFI workflows, approval dashboards and the persona portals.Own the multi-tenant data model and the real-time behavior that runs on top of it: when a change order is approved, financial totals cascade across line items, contracts and projects instantly. Getting that right, and keeping it right as the product scales, is yours.Drive breakthrough AI integrations: prompt engineering, structured extraction from complex documents and working directly with APIs from Anthropic and OpenAI.Set the standard for code quality and help maintain an audit trail built for legal defensibility and financial accountability.Shape the roadmap. On a team this size, senior engineers have a real voice in what gets built, how it gets built and why. What We Are Looking ForRequired:5+ years of professional software engineering experienceSolid TypeScript: complex generics, discriminated unions, strict mode, not just "I've used it"Production React 19 experience with Next.js App Router: server components, layouts, streaming and route groupsExperience with a reactive or event-driven backend; Convex experience is a real differentiator (indexes, actions vs. mutations, real-time subscriptions, convex-test) but is not necessary to land the roleMulti-tenant SaaS architecture: you understand why org-scoped data isolation matters and how cross-tenant leaks happen silentlyShipped AI-powered features using LLM APIs in production: prompt engineering, structured output, not just demos. You're also comfortable working with agents and skills to accelerate your own work.Self-directed and communicative: you ask good questions, communicate often and early and drive your own work forwardStrongly preferred:Clerk or comparable multi-org auth (JWT claims, pending user lifecycles and device trust)Tailwind v4, Shadcn/Radix UI and TanStack TableAudit-trail and forensic system design: append-only patterns, two-date models and legal-grade record integrityNice to have:Construction industry knowledge: CSI codes, AIA contract forms (A201), SOV structure and RFI workflowsPDF manipulation with pdf-lib or unpdf.
