Hits Technician The HITS Technician performs hands-on hazardous tank and piping abatement tasks under the direction of a Leadman or Supervisor. This role supports abatement operations while ensuring all work is performed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with State and Federal regulations. Essential Duties & Job Functions: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Perform hazardous tank and piping abatement tasks according to project plans and instructions from supervisors or leads. Assist with cleaning, removal, and disposal of hazardous materials, sludge, and residues from tanks, piping, and related equipment. Operate hand tools, power tools, and other equipment safely to perform assigned tasks. Follow all State and Federal regulations, client requirements, and company safety procedures. Document task completion, safety observations, and report hazards to supervisors. Assist with loading, unloading, and staging of materials and equipment. Work effectively as part of a crew in remote and industrial environments. Maintain 100% "Safety Standards and Accountability" in all areas or mandatory/regulatory requirements, which include: Maintain compliance with the required HSE Training. Taking necessary action when behaviors or conditions around you may be unsafe. Reporting and addressing all potential safety concerns/incidents/issues promptly and willingly participate and assist in any investigation that may relate to a safety incident. Performs work in strict compliance with permitting requirements, Alaska Safety Handbook (ASH) Standards and other compliance-oriented directives. Participating in safety meetings, working safely, and maintaining a safe work environment as an employee and representative of CCI Industrial Services. Document and record any injury or near miss incident that may occur while you are working. Demonstrate and promote safe work practices by participating in JSA reviews, pre-job walkdowns and safety START card preparations covering work activities and materials required by the company and the client. Promote and participate in Safety Programs. Other duties as assigned Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Ability to perform physically demanding work in industrial and remote environments. Knowledge of basic hazardous material handling and abatement procedures. Strong teamwork and communication skills. Ability to work in harsh weather and remote locations.
