Hiring a Fabricator in Hagerstown, MD This role requires hands-on metal fabrication. You will read and interpret custom orders, translate them into accurate fabrication work, and create timely completion of projects. The position requires strong technical fabrication skills and the ability to work with various steel products. This is a direct hire permanent role 1st shift Pay: $20-$25/hour to start Full benefits included Responsibilities Interpret custom job orders and ensure each order is accurately understood, planned, and completed according to specifications. Read, interpret, and, when needed, create blueprints by hand or from CAD drawings to guide fabrication work. Perform hands-on fabrication and welding work using rebar, plate steel, I-beams, angle iron, and other steel products. Ensure all fabricated components meet quality standards, dimensional accuracy, and customer requirements. Use advanced math skills to perform measurements, calculations, and layout work necessary for precise fabrication. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in a custom job shop environment where all orders are unique or made-to-order. Background in mechanical and/or maintenance work in an industrial or fabrication setting. Comfort working in a shop environment that can be exposed to outdoor elements. Why Work Here? Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Hagerstown, MD. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $41600.00 - $52000.00/yr. Vacation; 1 week after 1 year, 2 weeks after 2 years, 3 weeks after 10 years.
