The incumbent must become familiar with and be able to use the appropriate computer hardware and software programs associated with this position.The incumbent must become familiar with and adhere to the Watkins Health Center Customer Experience Plan to ensure appropriate interaction and positive outcomes with both internal and external customers.HERO is a unit within Student Affairs.Job Description30% - Assist the Communications Coordinators with various marketing projects to promote health-related services, programs, events, etc.25% - Create print and digital materials.25% - Develop social media messages.15% - Suggest new tactics/ideas for keeping up with emerging trends among college students.5% - Other duties as assigned.Required QualificationsAvailability to work in 3-hour blocks of time.Possess excellent organization, communication, and creative skills as shown in application materials.High level of proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud, InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and other graphic design software as shown in application materials.Submit a resume and cover letter.Preferred QualificationsSophomore, junior, senior, or graduate level student.Work study eligible.Prior experience in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment as shown in application materials.Prior experience with photography/videography as shown in application materials.Knowledge of medical/health terminology.Position RequirementsDuring the semester term of the appointment, the student hourly must be enrolled in no fewer than 6 credit hours. For summer periods the student hourly must: (1) have been enrolled in no less than 6 hours in the past spring semester or (2) be pre-enrolled in the upcoming fall semester in no less than 6 hours or (3) be enrolled in summer session or (4) be admitted to study in the upcoming fall semester. Student Hourlies may be undergraduate or graduate students. (Exceptions granted for GRA/GTA/GA appointments DO NOT apply to Student Hourly appointments).Employment Conditions(1) Student employees are not eligible for remote work arrangements unless an exception is approved by the unit leadership and HR. This is an hourly/non-exempt position.
