Material Handler/Forklift Operator

*Forklift-Material Handler* *Responsibilities* * Ensures orderly production and distribution of products by pulling orders from inventory, delivering production materials and supplies where needed, and staging finished product final distribution. * Contributes to the orderly operation of stock and/or materials storage area. * Maintains inventory by identifying, labeling, and keeping materials and supplies in stock, recording location of inventory, and reporting shortages. * Locates materials and supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on production orders. * Maintains in-process inventory by delivering and opening materials and supplies. * Maintains material-handling equipment by completing pre-use inspections and making operator repairs. * Operates forklifts, pallet jacks, and other machinery to move items, or signals machine operators to move materials onto and off material holders. * Keeps inventory, loading areas, and machinery clean. * Open containers, sort, and catalog materials. * Learns and adheres to workplace safety regulations. * Follow 6s Lean Manufacturing principles *Knowledge, Skills & Abilities* * Certification in forklift operation preferred * Knowledge of operating other warehouse machinery * Data entry, math and computer skills * Physically fit with the ability to lift objects weighing between 50-100 pounds * Effective leadership and team management skills * Attention to detail and problem-solving skills * Excellent time management and organizational skills * Ability to work with a team * Written and verbal communication skills * High school diploma, GED or 2+ years of experience * Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen Job Type: Full-time Pay: From $16.00 per hour Benefits: * Dental insurance * Health insurance * Life insurance * Paid time off * Vision insurance People with a criminal record are encouraged to apply Work Location: In person
