Electrical Estimator/Project Manager

We are a team-oriented group that has fun yet maintains the highest professional standards.Key Responsibilities:-Perform accurate and detailed material, labor, subcontract, equipment, and miscellaneous takeoffs.-Accurately generate both cost and selling prices that conform to both our profit margin requirements and project execution needs for budgeting costs, hours, and production quantities.- This is a forward-facing client opportunity.-The candidate must be comfortable negotiating with customers with varying needs, from small tenant improvements to small prime construction contracts.-Skilled at soliciting material quotes, working with vendors and subcontractors to provide the best value to our customers.Nature of Work and Team Interactions:Success of this position requires a person who thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, and customer-centric environment.Qualifications:-3-5 years of experience with a significant platform estimating program. (Accubid or Sage Preferred)-Experience in Commercial Electrical Construction-Deep experience and proficiency working with electrical plans and specification documents.-Understanding of the electrical installation process-Knowledgeable with the equipment used in the industry-Computer literate - comfortable and proficient with email, Word, Excel, and the like.-Proficient in Microsoft Word & Excel-Strong work ethic-Detail oriented-Effective Communication skills, both verbal and in writing. Effective communication at PorterMatt Electric applies to internal project teams and external groups such as customers and vendors.
