Program Manager
Client: Leading national provider of recycling Job Description: Brooksource is looking for a Program Manager that will be required to lead multiple inter-related projects toward a common goal. They will provide overall management support for the projects to ensure they all move together toward meeting that goal. This particular role will be leading several stabilization/integration projects related to the client's Environmental Solutions acquisitions. Requirements: Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels, including executive leadership. Proven ability to coordinate across diverse technical teams (AWS, database, application, vendors) and translate complex updates into clear, accurate status reporting. Experience supporting large, high‐visibility IT programs involving modernization, cloud migration, and stabilization work. Ability to identify and resolve cross‐team communication gaps, escalate risks appropriately, and drive alignment across multiple workstreams. Comfortable working with legacy systems and modernization efforts, including middleware transitions to APIs and microservices. Strong understanding of technical concepts sufficient to follow discussions with engineering and database teams and ask informed questions. Skilled in managing vendors, including system integrators and partners involved in AWS and database optimization initiatives. Demonstrated ability to track budgets, funding, and resource usage for multi‐million‐dollar programs. Ability to maintain a high‐level perspective of program objectives while monitoring detailed progress across several teams. Experience working within a PMO structure and supporting transformation efforts, reporting standards, and roadmap development. Preferred Requirements: Prior experience supporting cloud modernization initiatives, including AWS migrations and legacy platform performance improvements. Experience overseeing integration and stabilization efforts tied to acquisitions or large-scale enterprise programs. Proven ability to manage and influence system integrators, database optimization vendors, and cross‐functional engineering partners. Familiarity with Clarity PPM, Smartsheet, or similar tools used within a transforming PMO environment. Demonstrated executive presence with the ability to confidently answer detailed questions about program status, risks, dependencies, and technical considerations.
