TES employment includes medical coverage, paid vacation & sick time, paid holidays, as well as training and development opportunities!DescriptionGraduate & Family Housing (GFH) is seeking a Night Operations Maintenance Supervisor to oversee after-hours maintenance operations across multiple campus locations. This position serves as the highest level of supervision during overnight operations and is responsible for ensuring continuity of services, rapid emergency response, and effective leadership of maintenance staff with minimal oversight.The Night Operations Maintenance Supervisor directly supervises night crew staff and provides leadership and support to second shift personnel transitioning into overnight operations. This role assigns and prioritizes work orders, responds to after-hours service calls and emergencies, troubleshoots facility issues in real time, and ensures work is performed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with department standards.The position coordinates closely with the Customer Service Center (CSC), communicates with residents and day shift leadership, and ensures that overnight issues are properly documented and followed up. This role is critical to maintaining service levels and operational control during after-hours conditions.QualificationsRequiredExperience supervising maintenance staff in a facilities or building maintenance environmentStrong working knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general maintenanceDemonstrated ability to troubleshoot and respond to emergency situations independentlyExperience using a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS); Maximo preferredStrong leadership, communication, and decision-making skillsAbility to operate independently as the highest level of supervision during overnight operations, including oversight of both night crew and second shift personnelAbility to manage maintenance operations across multiple locations in a fast-paced, after-hours environmentPreferredExperience in residential or multi-unit housing environmentsExperience working second shift or night operationsExperience coordinating operations across multiple sitesTraining will be provided on UCSD-specific systems and processes; however, candidates must bring solid baseline experience and the ability to lead with minimal oversight.SPECIAL CONDITIONSPosition requires independent decision-making during night operations with limited access to additional supervision.Must be able to respond to emergency situations across multiple campus locations.Overtime, weekends, nights, and after-hours response may be required.This position is considered the highest level of on-site supervision during overnight operations and is expected to maintain operational control without escalation.Driving is required for this position, so qualified candidates must have a valid California Driver’s License with a good driving record.
