Operations Supervisor
Job TitlePayrate: $38.31- $40.00/hr. Responsibilities:Manage and monitor individual and department performance on safety, quality, delivery, and efficiency and take corrective action including discipline as neededBe intentional in driving employee engagement activities while establishing a positive employee environment through regular communication, feedback, and overall guidanceEnsure that assigned personnel have appropriate training, work instruction, and tooling to successfully execute their jobsLead safety through regular safety communications, driving engagement in the CI process, Safety and Ergonomic Risk Assessment (SERA) process and prompting near miss reporting with a focus on quick, thorough corrective actionsManage daily staffing and employee moves on the line to meet daily production and warehousing requirementsOversee production activities to ensure that manufactured products meet or exceed all established quality requirementsDrive department-level support of factory goals regarding 5S implementation, Continuous Improvement, Client planning, and operating budgetsRequirements:2 or more years of experience in unionized manufacturing environment1 or more years of experience with manufacturing and quality management principles, tools, and processesWillingness to work overtime (weekdays or weekends) as necessary to support operational needs and on-time deliveryExcellent communicator who thrives on solving problems and working in a team environmentDemonstrated experience making sound decisions and being proactive in a high-pressure or time-sensitive environmentsAbility to conduct crucial conversations, including ability to enforce company policies, practices, procedures and work rulesExperience communicating across functions, such as supply management, engineering, operations, and human resources or labor relationsSkills:1 or more years of experience with production control systems, preferably within1 or more years of experience in a leadership role in a union environmentTwo or more years of experience with shop floor manufacturing and incentive pay systems (such as CIPP)Cross-functional work experience in Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Material Control, or Supply ManagementDemonstrated experience utilizing lean manufacturing techniques to drive business improvementsPossess a good working knowledge of the appropriate operating and information systems used in Operations (Word, Excel, SAP, SharePoint, Power BI)Education:Bachelor's degree in engineering/technology, Operations, Business/Management, or Supply Management or equivalent experiencePay Transparency: The typical base pay for this role across the U.S. is: $38.31- $40.00/hour . Non-exempt positions are eligible for overtime at a rate of 1.5 times the base hourly rate for all hours worked in excess of 40 in a work week, or as required by state or local law. Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education and experience.
