You'll find what you're looking for here.As a Senior Software Development Engineer, You WillDesign, develop, and test software components and applications for a leading provider of audiobooks.Contribute to an agile engineering team by writing scalable and maintainable code and influencing team decisions.Collaborate with diverse stakeholders to envision, design, develop, test, and launch impactful software that inspires both customers and peers.Utilize technology to solve complex problems.Translate designs into high-quality code, delivering on schedule.Demonstrate proficiency in various data structures and algorithms, making informed decisions on their appropriate usage.Independently clarify technical requirements, estimate development timelines, and apply effective design approaches.Conduct code reviews, offering constructive guidance to fellow team members.Drive continuous improvement in software quality, customer experience, and product maintainability.Mentor and lead developers, fostering curiosity and deep technical understanding.Basic Qualifications5+ years of professional software development experience, including expertise in Java, Object-Oriented Design, Data Structures, and Algorithms.Experience developing and maintaining high-availability distributed software systems.BA/BS degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.Server-side development experience, preferably in Java/Spring.Experience with multiple AWS services.Preferred QualificationsExcellent communication skills with the ability to think creatively and adapt messages to different audiences.Strong problem-solving abilities; adaptable, enterprising, and willing to take ownership.High standards for quality, including documentation, unit testing, code reviews, test automation, continuous integration & deployment, and a preference for agile methods.Full stack software development experience (JavaScript, Java).Familiarity with RDS and NoSQL databases.We are committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace.
