This position manages a specific Branch or Division responsible for law enforcement programs, functions, or operations encompassing the overall law enforcement mission of the organization to which assigned.Duties Help The major duties of the Supervisory Criminal Investigator (Division Chief) position include, but are not limited to, the following:Exercises full supervisory responsibilities and authority over Division or Branch personnel.Develops and implements Division or Branch policies, practices, and procedures.Plans, directs, coordinates, and oversees studies and surveys to evaluate Division or Branch programs and ensure efficiency and economy of operations.Advise the Assistant Director and/or Deputy Assistant Director(s) on significant issues or matters pertaining to Division programs and projects, e.g., the impact of new technology, new initiatives, etc.Direct the coordination of projects and programs with management officials in other divisions within the Directorate, with management officials in other directorates at Bureau Headquarters, and with officials from the Department of Justice or other Federal, State and local law enforcement agencies.Requirements Help Conditions of employmentThe requirements listed below must be met by the closing date of the announcement.Key RequirementsMust be U.S. Citizen or NationalSelective Service registration is required for males born on, or after, December 31st 1959. This is a non-bargaining unit position.QualificationsTo qualify for this position at the GS-15 grade level, candidates must also have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level GS-14 by the closing date of this announcement.Specialized experience is demonstrated experience, which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform successfully the duties of this position.
