Real Estate Development Administrator

Position Summary The Real Estate Development Administrator is responsible for providing both high-level and detailed administrative oversight to all aspects of property development. This includes developing and maintaining strong professional relationships with funders, other stakeholders, and partners. The Real Estate Development Administrator prepares, processes and maintains accurate records of property development activities. The Real Estate Development Administrator is a member of the Real Estate Development team, working collegially with all team members. The Real Estate Development Administrator reports to the Real Estate Development Director. Essential Duties and Primary Responsibilities The Real Estate Development Administrator fulfills the administrative management and support role for the Real Estate Development Department, its processes, and operations. Develops and maintains a working knowledge of municipality, county, state, and national affordable, workforce, and supportive housing development policies and activities Develops and maintains a working knowledge of low-income housing tax credit programs; municipality, county, state, and federal funding sources; and related funding application and timeline requirements Develops and maintains a working knowledge of land use and zoning processes Develops and maintains strong professional relationships with funding and governmental peers and other partners Administers efficient pre-development phase of submitting funding applications according to guidelines and deadlines Assists in the completion of accurate and compelling applications for financing, adhering to funder instructions Administers construction draw processing duties necessary to ensure the accurate and timely processing of construction loan draws Ensures projects undergo underwriting and close efficiently and timely, providing all required information and materials promptly and in accordance with funding guidelines and deadlines Tracks projects and tasks, monitoring applicable deadlines and third party reporting and obtaining required approvals, information, and actions Completes cost certification promptly as appropriate, securing maximum allowable basis Maintains documentation necessary to secure sales tax refund as appropriate Provides Finance Department with pertinent project information for financial management Ensures timely and accurate submission of all internal and external reports Communicates with Asset Manager to ensure smooth transition from development to operations, including communicating project specifics and requirements, preparing for lease-up, providing warranty information, maintaining closing documentation files, and transferring information promptly Administers internal and external reporting processes, ensuring all stakeholders are updated and aware of critical issues Maintains continuous lines of communication, keeping the Real Estate Development team members informed Maintains Real Estate Committee records, prepares meeting packets and compiles committee reports Maintains project files in an orderly manner, facilitating access by other staff members and ensuring historical data is easily accessible for potential projects and other purposes Performs other duties as assignedQualifications The Real Estate Development Administrator will possess the following education, experience, and competencies:Education Bachelor's degree, preferably in real estate, business, or finance or equivalent experience. Experience Strong project and administrative management experience with proven ability to manage multiple projects proactively and effectively Real estate development experience preferred Credit underwriting experience a plus Construction loan draws administration Grant application and management experience a plus Knowledege, Skills, and Abilities Knowledge and understanding of affordable, workforce, and supportive housing and housing development policies, funding, and activities at local, state, and national levels Familiarity with low-income housing tax credits, funding sources, land use, and zoning Strong administrative and project management skills Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills Unwavering attention to detail with a results-oriented mindset Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to balance competing demands, effectively handle shifting priorities, and meet deadlines Ability to work well independently and within a collaborative team Ability to read, analyze, and comprehend large government documents Ability to work with various software platforms including Microsoft Office Suite and project management systems and databases Ability to work with integrity and ethics Possesses valid Florida driver's license and own actively insured transportation Pay: $55,000.00 - $68,000.00 per year Benefits: 401(k) matching Dental insurance Health insurance Life insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Work Location: In person
