Work with project drawings. Work on projects alongside leads, Foreman and Project Managers.Job Duties and Responsibilities:An Entry Level Communication Technician/ Installer is responsible for the installation of cabling supports, cabling and the termination of devices. Drop cable down a wallInstall cabling supports and sleeves. ( J-hooks, Tray)Route cabling in the ceiling/ furnitureTerminate cable/ wire devicesBuild out closets (Install racks, patch panels and grounding)Install Fire stop in sleeves and wall/ stud penetrations. An Entry Level Communication Technician/ Installer will correct complete all paperwork. Project foreman are responsible for completing your times but you will be required to verify your hours and sign your timesheet via the Procore APP. Perform any tool transfersFill out a dailyAn Entry Level Communication Technician/ Installer will adhere to company core values and policies. Adhere to Data Link Technology Services quality standards. Adhere to Data Link Technology Services and OSHA safety standards. Requirements: Must have RELIABLE TRANSPORTATION to get to jobsites on time. Attendance Good communication and customer service skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Ability to learn quickly and take direction well Must be able to work in an outdoor or indoor construction work environment. The ability to learn to interpret blueprints and other project documents Have a positive attitude and be self-motivated Promote Data Link Way and core values to all employees, vendors, clients and business partners. Must be able to work at heights Must be able to work off a ladder. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds Must have the willingness to travel as needed. Basic hand tools (Drywall saw, Screwdriver/ drill, tape measure, level, snips, ETC). Ability to effectively use tools.
