Senior Full Stack EngineerOakland (On-site) | Up to $250kAbout the RoleAn innovative startup is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to help build and scale a cloud platform that supports a connected hardware ecosystem. This person will play a key role in developing backend services, internal operational tooling, and the foundational infrastructure required to support a reliable, secure, and scalable product.This is a high-ownership opportunity for someone who enjoys working across the stack, shaping architecture, and building systems that interact with real-world devices and user-facing applications.What You’ll DoBuild and own core cloud platform components, including backend services, APIs, and internal toolingDevelop and maintain web-based interfaces for operational and support workflowsDesign and implement secure identity, access control, and data protection patterns across the platformIntegrate cloud systems with connected devices, embedded systems, and real-time data streamsSet engineering standards around testing, observability, monitoring, and operational readinessLead technical decision-making with an eye toward scalability, resilience, maintainability, and securityWhat We’re Looking ForStrong experience with TypeScript and/or JavaScriptExperience building modern web applications using frameworks such as React, Vue, or similarExperience building production backend services using Node.js, Go, Python, or similar technologiesStrong understanding of API design, backend architecture, and data modelingHands-on experience with cloud infrastructure and modern software delivery practicesFamiliarity with containers, deployment automation, CI/CD, and DevOps workflowsStrong ownership mindset and comfort working in a fast-paced environmentExperience with connected devices, IoT systems, telemetry, or hardware-software integrations is a plus
