Whether through counseling, peer support, medication-assisted treatment (MAT), residential, PHP, IOP, or extended care programs, we offer a holistic approach to healing that encompasses the mind, body, and spirit.We are seeking a Behavioral Health Technician to add to our dynamic team who can provide direct support to our clients at our campus in Warrior, AL. This position focuses on, conducting clinical assessments, and ensuring the safety and well-being of patients in various care settings. BHTs actively participate in crisis intervention and management, helping to de-escalate situations and provide immediate support to patients experiencing emotional distress. Additionally, the role involves maintaining accurate clinical documentation and assisting with discharge planning to ensure continuity of care. Ultimately, the Behavioral Health Technician contributes to improving patient outcomes by fostering a therapeutic environment and supporting the multidisciplinary team in delivering comprehensive behavioral health services.ResponsibilitiesProvide direct patient care and support to individuals with mental health disorders, including those with Substance Abuse Disorders (SUD)Conduct clinical assessments and assist in monitoring patient progress according to established treatment plansImplement crisis intervention techniques to manage and de-escalate behavioral emergencies effectively and safelyMaintain thorough and accurate clinical documentation, including progress notes, incident reports, and discharge plansCollaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and update individualized care plans and discharge strategiesAssist patients with daily living activities and promote therapeutic engagement within the treatment environmentParticipate in team meetings and communicate patient status and concerns to clinical supervisorsMinimum QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree in a related field preferredCertification or training in behavioral health, mental health, or related area is requiredExperience working with individuals with mental health disorders, including crisis intervention and patient careAbility to maintain clinical documentation accurately and comply with healthcare regulationsStrong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients and multidisciplinary teamsValid driver's license and good driving record requiredIf recovering, two (2) years of continuous verifiable sobrietyPreferred QualificationsBachelor's degree in psychology, social work, nursing, or a related behavioral health fieldPrevious experience in a healthcare or residential treatment settingTraining or certification in CPR, First Aid, or Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (NCI)Familiarity with Substance Abuse Disorders (SUD) populations and specialized care approachesKnowledge of discharge planning processes and community resource coordinationWe're officially a Great Place To Work!
