This position will assist with participant recruitment and engagement including outreach and study advertising activities. This position will consent and enroll participants and coordinate study visits. This position will provide administrative support for Division of Urogynecology operations. This position will also contribute to data analysis and dissemination of data.Supervisory AuthorityThis position reports to the Chief of Urogynecology and coordinates with other members of the research team. This position has no formal supervisory authority or authority for the direction of others.Nature And ScopeThis position supports research within the Division of Urogynecology, OBGYN Department and Howard University/Howard University Hospital. This position may interact with a variety of participants, clinicians, staff and faculty. They may also interact with research partners, advisory board participants, and other stakeholders.Principal AccountabilitiesPrepare and contribute to meeting notes, summaries, and presentationsRecruit, screen, and consent study participants in accordance with approved protocolsSchedule and coordinate study sessions, assessments, and follow-up visits across sitesMaintain participant tracking databases and ensure data quality and confidentialitySupport the preparation and submission of IRB documents, progress reports, and other regulatory materialsContribute to preparing manuscripts, presentations, and study materialsCommunicate regularly with site clinicians and research partners to monitor study progress and troubleshoot challengesParticipate in research meetings and provide updates on recruitment and data collectionPerform general administrative and research support tasks, including providing and tracking participant stipends, ordering study supplies and materials, and filingUse designated software to support study operations, data management, tracking, and reportingProvide administrative support in Division of UrogynecologyPerform other related duties as assignedCore CompetenciesAbility to read and write English is requiredAbility to interpret quantitative and qualitative researchSkills in Office Microsoft, Zoom, and other applicable appsStrong Administrative skillsKnowledge of the research techniques related to the purpose of the research studiesStrong organizational and time-management skillsAttention to detail and data accuracyAbility to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team across multiple studiesStrong interpersonal and communication skills with diverse participants and professionalsWorking knowledge of research ethics and confidentialityFamiliarity with REDCap, Qualtrics, or similar data collection platforms preferredInterest in women’s health researchAbility to assist in the writing of grants, abstracts, manuscripts, reports, presentations, and other scientific papersEstablish and maintain effective, collaborative, and respectful working relationships within a multi-study culturally responsive clinical research environmentMinimum RequirementsBachelor's or Master’s Degree in public health, psychology, and or biology, chemistry, pre-medical studies, or related coursework with at least two years of prior experience in human subjects’ research. Doctorate in relevant disciplinesPrevious administrative experience 2 years. Previous research experience in human subjects 2 years. Previous coursework or research experience related to women’s health equity, and/or urogynecology preferred. Spanish fluency preferred but not required. Relevant clinical, administrative, and research experience may substitute for advanced educationCompliance Salary Range Disclosure$52,000-62,000
